Embarcation for Cythera: a novel in pictures

No one ever got closer to the artworks of the Louvre than Nicholas Shakeleigh ....

The year is 1958, the month is May. In Algeria the massacres are reaching a zenith; in France the Fourth Republic is tottering toward collapse;
but in the galleries of the Louvre, Shakeleigh, a visiting expert from a London auction house,
has discovered a whole new universe – and a perversion for which there is no name.

Embarcation for Cythera is due to appear, as a hardback sumptuously larded with colour plates, early in 2018.

A reader of Quintember: “Richard Major is an incredible talent – can’t wait to read more.”
